As a solopreneur, it’s so easy to get carried away with the day to day activities required to satisfy your clients and keep the business running; that you completely forget to pay attention to the bigger issues.
This leads people to obsess about finding the best tactic out there for every single thing; and lose focus of the bigger picture.
That’s why you always hear questions like:
==> What’s the best way of getting new clients?
==> What’s the number 1 method for growing my email list?
==> What’s the fastest way to get 5k social media followers?
==> How do I drive traffic to my site without ads?
The problem though; is that none of these tactics (in isolation) can give you the thriving business of your dreams.
** A tactic is simply an action taken to achieve a specific end.
** A process, on the other hand is a series of actions or steps taken in order to achieve set objectives.
Do you see the difference?
Both of them involve taking action and both of them involve achieving set goals.
However, a tactic is focused on just one action & one goal; while a process is all about building systems that allow you to attain your goals.
That’s why the best thing you can do for yourself as a solopreneur is to constantly REVIEW your business processes.
Whether you’re a coach, consultant, freelancer, or anything else — as long as you work for yourself; you must step back from time to time and look at the big picture.
You can do this daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly. Whatever timeline you choose; just make sure you check in with yourself often.
That’s one sure way to building something that lasts.
