How many online courses have you bought but never completed any of them? Or downloaded free ebooks but never read them?
I’ve lost count; but at some point I had nothing less than 50 courses & books waiting for completion.
As with any new thing, I was so excited whenever I clicked the Buy Now button. But after watching a couple of modules, I dropped off and moved on to the next big thing.
Can you relate to this?
If so, you’re not alone. The average completion rate for online courses today is 10%. This means that only 1 person out of every 10 people will actually finish a course they started.
Wow. No wonder there’s so much information out there — but only a few people can show true evidence of how the knowledge is changing their lives.
And so I made a deal with myself to be among the 10%.
Yes, I started going back to each of those courses and books; one after the other; to glean as much information as I could from them. And guess what? There was gold buried in those resources.
Today, I’ve made it part of my daily routine to include at least 1 hour of studying through my courses and e-books. No exceptions; no excuses.
I’m NOT talking about buying new courses; no. I mean going back to the ones I already have and making the best use of them.
In just 2 weeks of doing this, I’m already wondering why I didn’t start earlier. But hey, the important thing is that I started & making progress on it.
What about you? Will you keep wasting money on new courses & e-books when you have a pile of them collecting dust on your laptop?
It’s time to stop gathering knowledge just for the sake of it.
It’s time to START implementing.
