(This is likely the longest newsletter signup page you’ll ever read, and I’m OK with it. I invite you to read through & be okay with it before joining the list.)

The Background

We’ve all heard before that your email list is your business.

The most common reason people give is that your email list is where you can control access to your audience (unlike Facebook & other social media platforms where they can ban your account or kick you out whenever they like).

So yes, I know that having an email newsletter is good for your business.

In fact, I’ve even helped my clients to build large lists, yet I struggled with doing the same thing for myself.

The Problem

Thing is, I’ve always felt this resistance to having an email list because it didn’t feel personal to me.

Indeed, it felt really impersonal — it felt like me standing on a podium and preaching to everyone.

And because I’m a very high Relator who prefers connecting with people one-on-one rather than in groups, an email list did not feel personal enough to me.

This is mainly because I did not feel like I was in a relationship with the person on the other side of the email; and that’s why I just resisted it.

The Change

I’m so excited to let you know that all of that has changed because I’ve now found a way to make my email list very personal.

My intention is to strike a balance between doing what I know is good for my business versus what feels authentic to me; because I couldn’t stand the idea of writing emails just for the sake of it.

How my email list is going to be different.

1). Real Community: My email list is where I’m going to cultivate a real community; at least that will be my goal and intention.

I want to be able to get to know the people who are there, and have them get to know me. I don’t want you to feel like it’s just another email in your inbox.

One way I’m going to do it is that I will keep in touch with you as much as I can, I’m looking at 2-3 times a month, so you’re going to be hearing from me quite often.

2). Conscious Presence: Being on my email list is going to be a very conscious decision for you — you gotta want to be there.

I don’t want you to mindlessly receive my emails because you were lazy to click Unsubscribe… I only want those who want to be there.

If you’re not interested in the emails, if you’re not reading them, you’re going to be removed.

This is because on a regular basis, I’ll be checking for those who haven’t opened the emails in the past 2 months and I’ll manually delete them from the list.

3). Feedback: I’m going to be asking for a lot of feedback…I’ll be asking you questions and I’ll be hoping you reply to the email and answer the questions.

This will help me learn how to improve what I do & how to support you more in various aspects of your business.

4). Monthly calls: Each month, there will be a Q&A Zoom call dedicated exclusively to those on my email list.

I host these sessions to answer any questions you have on Facebook ads, marketing, leads generation, or whatever else you’re dealing with in your business.

It’s going to be free, you don’t have to pay anything. It’s just a way of me giving some value to you, being of help, and building our relationship.

It’ll also help me put faces to the names I see on the list, you get to know me, and I get to know you. It’s just my nature that I like to relate with people. I don’t like to feel like I’m talking to space, I like to know who I’m talking to.

5). Gifts from me: On a regular basis, you’ll get gifts from me to help you achieve certain results in your business.

They’ll come as video recordings, website resources, e-books, templates, etc. Again, this is exclusive to my email list, and you don’t have to pay for it.

What do I need from you?

Now you might be wondering — if I’m doing all these things for free, what’s my gameplan?

What do I want from you? Do I have something I want to sell to you? Am I just preparing you to buy my stuff?

And the answer is yes, I want to sell something; but it doesn’t have to be to you.

You see, 9-12 months from now, I intend to create a course and I’ll be needing some feedback from you.

So, apart from the fact that I might want to sell the course to you, I actually need your feedback to help me create a good course because I want to know that the course is helpful to you.

Biggest gift you can give me.

The biggest thing you can do for me is not to buy anything from me, it is to give me feedback.

If you stay on my list and you never ever buy anything from me, but you give me feedback, you’re my best friend.

Just help me improve myself, help me improve my offerings, that’s all I ask in return.

So if you’re wondering, why is he doing this? Why is giving all these things for free, he sure has something in mind?

The answer is yes, I do have something in mind, and what I have in mind is that you give me feedback. Anything else is extra.

If you decide to buy anything from me in the future, awesome. If you don’t, amazing, it doesn’t matter. As long as you give me feedback, you’re welcome to remain on the list.
