This is a very common question in the world of online business – but the answer is not as straightforward as the question.
Some experts create something every single day; while others do once a month.
In truth, the frequency of content creation is not as important as the consistency & discipline of creation.
Here’s an example I love to give:
Let’s say we have 2 individuals, James and John.
Both have similar physical attributes (height, weight, etc.; and they are both interested in bodybuilding.
James spends 3 hours on a workout session whenever he goes to the gym – but he only goes there once a month.
John, on the other hand, spends just 45 minutes at the gym – but he goes there 5 days a week.
At the end of 6 months, which of these 2 people will look better-built?
Right; you guessed it.
You see, when we start a new project, it’s always very easy to be fired up and motivated.
But how many people are able to keep going when it’s “boring”?
Consistency of action is the greatest indicator of the results you’ll achieve — and this applies to any area of life (not just content creation and bodybuilding).
So, coming back to the question: How often should you be creating content for your online business?
Simple answer: As often as you can consistently sustain.
At the barest minimum, you should aim for at least 1 piece of content each week (written article, video, podcast, or whatever else you create).
If you can do 2 articles, even better.
Choose a frequency that works for you; and stick to it.
As you improve on that discipline, plan to increase the number within a few months.
But, whether you choose to do 1 or 2 or 7; be sure that you can stay true to your rhythm.
